Tezlom Logistics

For Drivers

How agency work actually works, pay, taxes, rights.

Agency driving and warehouse work pays weekly and gives you flexibility, but the tax setup, holiday pay and sick pay rules differ from a direct employer contract. Here's what to know before you sign anything.

What is agency work?

Agency work is a tripartite arrangement: a recruitment agency (e.g. Tezlom Logistics) is your employer for the assignment, while a hiring business (the "end client") gives you the day-to-day work direction at their site. You are paid by the agency under PAYE, weekly, and accrue statutory holiday pay on every hour worked.

How we pay you, PAYE, simple and transparent

We pay every driver through PAYE. No extra margins, no two-payslip confusion, just straightforward weekly pay with everything handled for you.

What PAYE means for you

  • Tezlom Logistics is your employer for the assignment
  • Income tax and employee National Insurance are deducted at source, nothing for you to file
  • Statutory holiday pay accrues on every hour you work, paid on request
  • Statutory Sick Pay where you're eligible
  • One payslip, paid weekly, the rate we quote is the rate your pay is built from

Common questions

What is PAYE agency work?

Under PAYE (Pay As You Earn), the agency is your employer for the assignment. The agency deducts income tax and National Insurance from your gross pay before you receive it. You accrue statutory holiday pay and are entitled to statutory sick pay where eligible. Simplest tax setup, fewest deductions outside what HMRC requires.

How does Tezlom pay drivers?

We pay every driver through PAYE. You're our employee for the assignment, so income tax and National Insurance are deducted at source, you accrue statutory holiday pay on every hour worked, and you're paid weekly. No extra margins taken off your rate.

Do agency drivers get holiday pay?

Yes. Under UK law (Working Time Regulations 1998), agency workers accrue 5.6 weeks of statutory paid holiday per year, equivalent to 12.07% of hours worked. Tezlom Logistics accrues holiday pay on every hour you work and pays it when you request it or at the end of an engagement.

When do I get paid?

Weekly, every Friday, for the previous week (Monday-Sunday). Direct to your bank account. Payslip available via your driver portal the same day.
